Military airfield in Russian Ivanovo attacked by drones.
Situation in Ivanovo
On the evening of May 22, an attack with explosive devices occurred at a military airfield in the Russian city of Ivanovo. According to local media, drones were spotted and fired upon with anti-aircraft defense systems. Although there are claims of downed drones, debris fell near the airbase, damaging some residential buildings and breaking windows.
According to premonitions, the possible target of the attack was the Severny airfield, where the Center for Combat Application of Military-Transport Aviation of Russia is concentrated. The 243rd separate squadron and the 81st military-transport aviation regiment are stationed on the territory of this facility.
Situation in Tula
Earlier, we reported that on the night of May 22, drones attacked the workshop of the defense enterprise NVO Splav in Tula. The enterprise specializes in the production of reactive multiple launch rocket systems, aviation missiles, and other military equipment.
As a result of the attack, debris from the drones caused a fire and damaged the electrical substation, leading to ignition. This is not the first case of an attack on defense industrial facilities in Tula, as similar incidents have occurred there before.
Previous attacks happened near the Splav plant and other important sites in the city. Each such case raises concerns and poses a threat to local residents and enterprise workers.
