Four citizens of Ukraine were arrested in Poland for kidnapping migrants for ransom. During a special operation, police from several countries apprehended this criminal group, which used violence and extortion.
The group of kidnappers demanded ransom, using firearms to intimidate, after which they transported the victims to the city of Lubin, where they sent demands to the families. After the victims managed to escape, part of the gang was arrested. The criminals fled to Latvia, where they kidnapped citizens of Mali, one of whom was brutally beaten and tortured.
The arrested Ukrainians, along with other criminals, are awaiting trial on charges of kidnapping migrants for ransom.
