Payments to Police Officers — What Financial Assistance is Provided by the State.

The National Police of Ukraine provides police officers with the opportunity to receive financial assistance in accordance with the law. Payments depend on various situations and are calculated based on the minimum subsistence level at the beginning of the year. These payments are provided for different cases of death, disability, or injury of police officers. According to the law 'On the National Police', financial assistance is assigned for various situations. For example, in the event of death due to unlawful actions or during an anti-terrorist operation, police officers receive 750 minimum subsistence levels. Payments are also provided for people with disabilities of various groups and in the event of loss of capacity for work due to injury. For the relatives of police officers who died during the period of martial law, financial assistance in the amount of 15 million hryvnias is provided, which is paid in installments over 40 months. Legislation provides for different amounts of payments for police officers in various life situations, creating the possibility of social protection for their families and loved ones. Receiving financial assistance allows for the promotion of social support and support for law enforcement in the event of tragic circumstances.
