The family of the deceased military officer received 2.2 million: the lawyer claims they are entitled to 15 million.
According to ТСН: The relatives of the military officer from the TCK, who died at the beginning of the year in Pyriatyn during mobilization activities, have already received financial compensation for his death. However, they may contest the amount.
Situation with payments
This was stated by the spokesman of the Poltava Regional TCK and SP Roman Istomin, as well as lawyer Yevhen Filypets in a comment.
The lawyer noted that the deaths of military personnel during mobilization activities, such as in Lviv and Pyriatyn, are cases related to the performance of their official duties. According to him, this opens the possibility of receiving 15 million UAH, like the relatives of those killed at the front.
Payment to the family of the deceased
Roman Istomin reported that the family of the soldier from Pyriatyn received a one-time aid of 2.2 million UAH, linking his death to 'performing official duties'. The documentation for receiving the payment was prepared by the TCK, which also maintained contact with the family of the deceased.
Legal aspects
Lawyer Filypets is convinced that the relatives can hope for a larger amount of compensation, as the VLK act recorded that the soldier's death occurred 'as a result of injuries related to the performance of military service duties'. He reported that the relatives of the deceased have already contacted him for legal assistance.
Circumstances of the tragedy
It should be reminded that earlier it was reported how in Lviv a civilian stabbed a military officer from the TCK, who was a veteran of the ATO and full-scale war and was sent to the rear due to health issues during mobilization activities.
On February 1 in Pyriatyn, Poltava region, a man shot a military officer of the Poltava RTC. The incident occurred at a gas station while three military officers from the TCK were accompanying a group of mobilized soldiers to the 199th training center. According to preliminary data, the shooter was an acquaintance of the mobilized person whom he wanted to 'free' from mobilization.
This tragedy underscores the risks faced by military personnel during mobilization activities. Compensation payments to the families of the deceased may become an important step in supporting their rights and needs. The situation also requires a detailed investigation into the circumstances of such incidents to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
