Heroine of Kherson Elena Naumova: How a Kindergarten Educator Became the Voice of Resistance.
Elena Naumova - Symbol of Strength and Courage in Kherson
According to FREEДOM: Elena Naumova is a kindergarten teacher in Kherson, a volunteer, civic activist, and blogger. During the occupation of the city in 2022, the threats of Russian invaders did not scare her - she ran a TikTok account where she shared stories about life under occupation and expressed support for Ukraine. After experiencing captivity, Elena Naumova became the voice of Kherson, which refused to root itself. President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded her the Order of 'For Courage' III degree. On Ukraine's Independence Day, this heroic woman shared her story in an exclusive interview with the FREEDOM channel.
Host - Valeriy Klymenko.
They wanted to 'denazify' us, but in fact, they made us true patriots. We showed that Kherson is Ukraine, that we want to live only in a free, democratic country.
The loss of freedom did not break the heroism of Elena Naumova, who became an important symbol of strength and courage for the residents of Kherson.
The Importance of Supporting Soldiers and Residents of Kherson
Kherson needs security. To achieve this, we must help our soldiers. We need more protection, more drones for the boys, more weapons. Because they are never enough. When the boys go to the islands on the Dnipro, it is good if they return alive and healthy. And, as a rule, they come back without power banks, connection, or weapons. Help is absolutely necessary. It is hard for both civilians and soldiers. Drones are urgently needed. Because Russian UAVs hang over our heads by the hundreds, already over the entire city. Half of the city is a kill zone, a 'red zone'. It is virtually impossible to live there. The other half of the city is a 'safari' for peaceful people who are walking down the street, riding bikes, on buses, in cars. Every day, civilians die, every day there are injuries. Houses are burning, infrastructure is being destroyed. Kherson needs more help and support.
Supporting the soldiers and the peaceful population of Kherson is extremely important for ensuring security and restoring the city after occupation.Read also
