Drivers reminded which function in the car should be turned off during rain or snow.
Ukrainian drivers were told which functions in the car to turn off during rain or snow.
With the onset of winter, drivers need to be especially careful on the road. The decrease in daylight and the deterioration of weather conditions significantly complicate car control. Therefore, experts recommend that drivers turn off the automatic headlight activation function.
Automatic lighting systems include daytime running lights when the engine is started and also automatically activate low beam headlights when the light level becomes insufficient. However, their operation is not perfect. In bad weather, especially during rain, the sensors may function incorrectly: they either react with a significant delay or do not respond at all to changes in weather conditions.
If a driver neglects the recommendations for using headlights, the car may only be running with daytime running lights, which significantly reduces its visibility to other road users. A particularly serious problem is that when only daytime running lights are switched on, the rear marker lights are turned off, making the car almost invisible in severe weather conditions such as rain or snow.
It is worth noting that experts have named the cars that will become popular in 2025.
