«The enemy changes the direction of attacks». The head of the Donetsk OVA explained why many fortifications are being built only now.

The situation on the Donetsk front is becoming more complicated, the enemy has managed to destroy some fortifications, but everything is being done to restore them.

This was stated by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadim Filashkin in an interview with "Glavkom".

"Almost all entrepreneurs and utility workers were involved in building the fortifications. It is hard to imagine what would have happened if they had not been built, but fewer and fewer entrepreneurs are willing to risk their lives and go to build fortifications. They help our military. Workers from Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions are also working - these regions are helping us build the main line of fortifications. The work is practically completed," explained the head of the RMA.

Filashkin noted that the Russian Federation managed to destroy some fortifications, but local authorities are trying to restore the destroyed ones as quickly as possible so that they are suitable for our defenders. This applies to all fronts.

The head of the Donetsk OVA noted that work on installing "dragon's teeth" is being carried out in the Hrodivske, Kurakhivske, Lyman, and Toretsk directions.

"The enemy changes the direction of the breakthrough. And where the need arises, according to the documentation that I receive from the commander of the operational and strategic group "Khortytsia" regarding the procurement of material needs, we urgently purchase "teeth"", noted Filashkin.

The head of the RMA added that since the beginning of the full-scale war in Donetsk, more than 600 platoon strongpoints have been built, not counting anti-tank ditches and small fire structures.

"Construction is ongoing in all directions. Both the Ministry of Defense and the region purchase materials for the construction of fortifications, and specific communities purchase. Huge amounts have been spent from the regional and local budgets of Donetsk region - about 2.6 billion UAH," the interview states.

Filashkin explained why the price of defense structures differs: "Indeed, some people have questions about procurement: why is the price this and not another? Because at one enterprise the price will be lower, but that enterprise does not want to deliver here, does not want to work with Donetsk region. There are very few entrepreneurs willing to come to build fortifications. More work with Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions".

Recall that in an interview with "Glavkom" the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadim Filashkin reported that a decision was made in Donetsk region about the forced evacuation of children with their parents or legal representatives from certain settlements of Selydivska, Hrodivska, Kurakhivska, Myrnohradska, Novohrodivska, and Illinivska communities.
