Ukraine in the EU at the beginning of the 2030s: what hinders rapid accession.
Comments of the Polish Foreign Minister on Ukraine's EU accession
According to inkorr.com: Radek Sikorski, the Polish Foreign Minister, believes that Ukraine has every chance of becoming a member of the European Union as early as the beginning of the next decade. However, he emphasized that the speed of this process largely depends on Hungary's position, which, according to him, is delaying the necessary decisions in the EU.
Sikorski noted that political resistance from Hungary is a serious obstacle to Ukraine's faster accession to the European Union. However, he also acknowledged Kyiv's successes, as Ukraine has already obtained candidate country status. In addition, the expert stressed the importance of strengthening the EU's defense capabilities and combating corruption for Ukraine's further integration into the European Union.
Thus, even if Ukraine has every chance of joining the EU in the next decade, the main challenges remain Hungary's position, strengthening the European Union's defense capabilities, and overcoming corruption issues in Ukraine.
The minister's comment underscores the importance of international support and internal stability for Ukraine's successful integration into the European community. The next steps that must be taken to overcome existing obstacles will be crucial for the future relations between Ukraine and the EU.
