Zelenskyy Reports Russian Military Suffering Up to 35,000 Casualties Per Month in Ukraine.
Russia's Mounting War Casualties in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Russian forces are sustaining severe losses in Ukraine, with monthly casualties reaching as high as 35,000 personnel. The President described this figure as 'enormous,' adding that Russia's 'sole initiative is their ability to control everything within their own borders.' These figures, if accurate, represent a staggering and unsustainable rate of attrition for any modern military force.
In a March 5th interview, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainian defense forces continue to aggressively target Russian assets. On the night of March 4th, attacks were carried out against Russian military warehouses and logistical sites. As a result of these operations, Ukrainian forces successfully struck the Russian warship 'Admiral Essen.'
Furthermore, the elimination of Russian heavyweight athlete Alexander Chepikov serves as another example of successful Ukrainian actions. Amidst intense combat, Russian military casualties continue to climb, which, according to the President, demonstrates the effectiveness of Ukraine's defensive campaign.
"President Zelenskyy's statements indicate that Ukrainian forces continue to actively resist Russian aggression, inflicting significant losses on the adversary." - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
This situation could influence Russia's strategic decisions regarding the continuation of the conflict. Simultaneously, the rising losses underscore the protracted and intense nature of the fighting, which may have consequences for the morale of both the Russian military and the Ukrainian population.
