According to Vox: Roger Alford, a former senior official in the antitrust division during Trump's presidency, accused colleagues of corruption. He spoke about a 'pay-to-play' scheme where companies paid influential MAGA figures for help in obtaining approval for mergers.
Alford pointed to the chief of staff to Attorney General Pam Bondi and a candidate for the position of deputy attorney general as individuals who made key decisions under the influence of MAGA. His remarks about injustice and distortion of the rule of law sparked a scandal in political circles.
