Pub in Weston-super-Mare Recognized as One of the Best in the UK

According to The Sun: There are over 800 Wetherspoons establishments in the UK, but not all of them made the list of the best.

One such pub, located in the coastal town of Weston-super-Mare, has been included in the CAMRA 'The Good Beer Guide', which recognizes the best venues in the country. This place is definitely worth a visit.

CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) is an organization in the UK that promotes higher standards of beer quality, pub atmosphere, and service.

The new edition of the 'Good Beer Guide 2026' features 900 new establishments, including the Cabot Court Hotel pub.

The pub's manager, Nick Pipe, commented on this in The Weston Mercury:

“I am thrilled that the Cabot Court Hotel has received recognition for the quality of its real ales from CAMRA members. We offer our customers an excellent choice of ales, including regional breweries and microbreweries, and we also host our own beer festivals.”

“The pub staff work hard to ensure that the ales on offer are always in top condition, and the inclusion of the pub in the guide highlights this.”

Besides the bar, the Cabot Court Hotel has 21 rooms for visitors with panoramic views of the beach. All rooms are equipped with en suite bathrooms, Freeview TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, and free Wi-Fi.

In the morning, guests can enjoy breakfast at Wetherspoons, and in the evening, classic dishes. Staying in a double room in October costs from £63 or £31.50 per person.

The hotel is conveniently located on the Weston-super-Mare seafront on Knightstone Road.

The pub is perfect for those planning to visit the beach or take a stroll down the Grand Pier. It has been open since 1904 and offers plenty of entertainment for £2, including attractions such as the House of Horrors, Freefall, and go-karting.

Throughout the year, numerous events take place in the area, such as Sunset Sessions, Moonlight Beach Walk, Halloween Family Party, and fireworks.

Perhaps soon there will be another pier in Weston-super-Mare. The historic Birnbeck Pier is set to be restored after its closure in 1994 thanks to new funding.
