The story of Rosheen Ali
Rosheen Ali left home at the age of 13, escaping from her father's violence. The police began a search when she returned home the next day.
After 12 years, Rosheen got a job at the same sheriff's department where she met Tyler Shroup – the police officer who had once searched for her.
Tyler didn't recognize her but immediately felt an attraction. “He couldn't take his eyes off me, but he never said a word,” recalls Rosheen.
“I was too nervous to talk to Rosheen because I thought she was very beautiful,” Tyler confessed.
Eventually, he mustered the courage to talk to Rosheen, and an instant connection formed between them.
Integral part of the past
“We started recalling dates, and then she described the place,” Tyler shared about their conversation.
“At that moment, I began to realize that I was part of those events. It's strange – I had been looking for her, and now we are sitting here talking,” he added.
The couple is now engaged and raising a five-month-old son.
Rosheen shared their story on TikTok, uploading a video that quickly went viral, garnering over five million views.

The video sparked many comments, including accusations that Tyler was 'grooming' her.
The truth about her past
In a series of videos, Rosheen, known on social media as Roro Nicole, debunked the rumors:
“The comments were such that he was grooming me, that he kidnapped me, that I had been with him all this time and he kept me in a basement,” she said.
Rosheen recalled her difficult childhood in 2010 when her father, a gambling addict, threatened her and her brothers.
The situation reached a breaking point when he attacked her sister. Rosheen and her brother fled the house by climbing through a window, and they were found the next day by a foster family.
“I truly believe that if it weren't for my escape and the police's involvement, we wouldn't have survived,” she emphasized.
Tyler and Rosheen plan to marry in 2026, telling their followers that their story has touched many people.
“Someone said he is my hero,” Rosheen added.
