Special offer from Costa Coffee

According to The Sun: Tomorrow, customers will get hot drinks from Costa Coffee for just £1, including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

To take advantage of the discount, one must visit one of the 1,400 Co-op stores where Costa Express machines are installed.

Tea and short drinks usually cost £2.40, and coffee and hot chocolate cost £3.20, but now they can be obtained for just £1. Getty

Don't forget that the promotion is only valid on Tuesday, October 14, so don't miss this opportunity. Usually, tea and short drinks cost £2.40, while coffee and hot chocolate cost £3.20.

The discount of about 70% applies to over 50 varieties of hot and cold drinks, including Americano, latte, cappuccino, and flat white.

About 1,000 of the 2,400 Co-op stores do not have a Costa Express machine, so it is important to check for the nearest one before heading out.

For this, use the search feature on the Co-op website.

Menu Updates from Costa Coffee

This is not Costa's first promotion in collaboration with major retailers. Earlier this month, customers could get drinks from Costa Express for 50 pence at One Stop stores.

As the cold weather approaches, the café introduced a new autumn menu.

It brought back Maple Hazel Latte, as well as Maple Hazel Hot Chocolate and Maple Hazel Frappe.

New desserts have also appeared: Maple Hazelnut Cookie Sandwich and Halloween Cornflake Cake.

However, Costa is facing financial difficulties as rumors circulate that Coca-Cola's owners may sell the company for less than £2 billion.

Since September 2024, Costa has closed 20 stores and recently announced further closures.

For instance, one of the stores in Trafford Centre in Manchester is scheduled for closure, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed.

Last month, one of the seaside stores was closed, and the café on Seamoor Road in Westbourne ceased operations in September after 15 years of service.

Lyndsey Thornton, Co-op's food-on-the-go buying manager, said: “Our customers love Costa coffee, and as a retailer with shops across the UK, we are perfectly positioned to provide them with easy access to hot drinks, whether on the go or while shopping for everyday items.”
“This exclusive £1 deal offers impressive savings and is part of our ongoing commitment to provide value to our customers. I would advise customers to run, not walk, to take advantage of this offer!”

In a competitive landscape, the coffee market is becoming increasingly dynamic, and companies are seeking new ways to attract customers. Promotions on popular beverages and changes to the menu serve as important tools to maintain consumer interest.

Costa Coffee, in particular, is trying to draw attention to its products considering the rumors of financial difficulties. Announcements of new flavors and special offers can help maintain customer loyalty in this challenging time for the company.
