Invitation to a Free Health Check

According to TSN.ua: Starting January 31, Ukrainian citizens aged 40 and older will begin receiving invitations for a free medical screening via the 'Diia' app. This public health initiative is designed to screen for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and mental health disorders. This program is part of a broader digital transformation of public services in Ukraine, aiming to make healthcare more accessible.

Invitations will be issued starting January 31. Eligibility is open to all Ukrainians who have reached the age of 40. Each participant will receive their invitation 30 days after their birthday. This staggered approach is intended to systematize the screening process and ensure access to medical services for this specific age group.

Funding and Deadlines

The screening is funded with 2,000 hryvnias, which will be transferred to a participant's bank card within 7 days of ordering the service. However, payment is only processed after the first doctor's visit. The allocated funds must be used by December 17, 2026. For those born between October and December, the deadline to use the funds is extended to March 31 of the following year.

This government initiative aims to improve public health by enabling the early detection of serious illnesses, which can significantly reduce mortality risks and enhance the overall quality of healthcare in Ukraine.

The introduction of free medical screening through the 'Diia' app is part of the Ukrainian government's efforts to improve population health and promote the early detection of diseases.

By targeting individuals over 40, the program has the potential to substantially reduce illness and mortality rates within this demographic. The use of a digital platform to organize these services also highlights an ongoing trend toward the digitalization of healthcare in Ukraine.
