The supply of drones to the Armed Forces has increased tenfold over the year - Ministry of Defense.
The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Ivan Havryliuk, reported that the Armed Forces are receiving ten times more unmanned systems per month than at the beginning of 2024. He also noted that the level of supply for the military has not worsened compared to last year.
In particular, in the first quarter of 2024, the Armed Forces received an average of 20,000 drones per month, and now this figure has reached about 200,000 and continues to grow. In addition to FPV drones, the Ministry of Defense is working on implementing ground robotic systems. Havryliuk noted that the main focus is on fulfilling logistical tasks, mine clearance, and evacuation of the wounded. To ensure the safety of operators of such systems, it is planned to use ground robotic complexes.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is also implementing innovative technologies to save the lives of soldiers. A project is now starting that will allow for broader application of unmanned ground systems in the military. Moreover, Ukrainian arms manufacturers are receiving more contracts, including for drones and missiles. President Volodymyr Zelensky has already reported successful test launches of the new missile 'Ruta'.
