France and Britain ready to deploy up to 30,000 soldiers to Ukraine: details of the plan.
According to ТСН: While discussions on possible peace agreements continue worldwide, Ukraine's main European allies are developing a plan for physical security support. At the "Coalition of the Willing" summit in Paris, a proposal was made to introduce foreign troops into Ukraine.
Tasks for Peacekeepers
According to sources, France, Great Britain, and Turkey jointly support the deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine.
The preliminary plan looks as follows:
Quantity: the mission may include from 15,000 to 20,000 soldiers, and under certain conditions — up to 30,000.
Role Distribution: the main contingent will be provided by France and Great Britain, while Turkey will be responsible for maritime security in the Black Sea.
Location: the troops will mainly be stationed in western Ukraine.
The United States, while not planning to send its soldiers, may provide significant support in logistics and intelligence.
Legal Guarantees Instead of Words
Allies are also ready to enshrine their commitments on paper. Reuters has learned about a draft declaration of the "Coalition of the Willing," which outlines the creation of a system of politically and legally binding guarantees.
The main goal is to clearly define actions in the event of a future armed attack by Russia.
"These commitments may encompass the use of military potential, intelligence and logistical support, as well as the imposition of additional sanctions," the document states.
The development of such a plan indicates the seriousness of European allies' intentions to strengthen Ukraine's security amid threats. The introduction of peacekeeping forces could be an important step toward regional stabilization and preventing further escalation of the conflict. Clearly defined legal guarantees also emphasize the commitments of successor states on the international stage and their readiness to act in a crisis.
