Strikes on Russian Facilities
According to ТСН: On the night of January 1, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of precise attacks on military and fuel infrastructure in Russia, as well as on targets in temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that:
"As part of measures to reduce the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor, on the night of January 1, the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck several important enemy targets".
Among the destroyed facilities was the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai, where a fire broke out after drone strikes. Damage to the oil preparation installation in Tatarstan has also been confirmed. The General Staff notes that the details of the consequences are currently being clarified.
Strikes on Donetsk Oblast
At the same time, the Defense Forces struck several military objects on the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast. In the Donetsk area, a storage facility where the enemy was keeping attack drones of the type 'Shahed'/'Geran' was destroyed. Information about the scale of the consequences is still being specified.
Near the village of Shevchenko, the Ukrainian military hit the Russian anti-aircraft missile system 'Tor-M2'.
In the vicinity of Ilovaisk, a fuel and lubricant materials storage of the 51st army of the occupiers was confirmed to be hit, where a fire was recorded.
Also, in the Avdiivka area, the Defense Forces destroyed the command-observation point of the assault unit of the 68th tank regiment of the 150th motorized rifle division of the Russian Federation.
The General Staff added that:
"The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to take measures to undermine the military-economic and offensive potential of the Russian occupiers and to force the RF to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine".
It is also noted that in Russia, on the night of January 1, there were reports of a drone attack on the Ilsky oil refinery, where a fire is being observed on the premises.
It is worth noting that these strikes indicate the ongoing activity of Ukrainian forces in resisting aggression. Attacks on key infrastructure objects, such as oil refineries and military warehouses, can significantly affect the enemy's ability to continue combat operations. Given the current situation, these actions could become important in the strategic struggle for control over the region.
