Intensive Shelling Across Zaporizhzhia

According to Novyny.live: Russian forces launched a massive barrage against Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, with more than 800 strikes recorded and at least 10 people wounded. The attacks targeted 46 different settlements, sparking widespread alarm among local residents. This latest wave of violence adds to the already devastating toll on the region, which has faced relentless bombardment throughout the conflict.

In the morning, Russian troops struck the city of Zaporizhzhia using attack drones. One explosion occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the Dnipro district, damaging residential buildings—shattering windows and destroying roofs and awnings. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, shelling sparked a fire, further worsening the situation for civilians.

Casualties and Destruction

On June 8, Zaporizhzhia reported 32 wounded individuals, including five children, along with two women killed. Authorities are still assessing the full extent of the damage and potential casualties. The ongoing strikes continue to heighten anxiety among residents and local officials, who are working to ensure public safety.

The situation across the Zaporizhzhia region remains tense, as frequent shelling risks further loss of life and infrastructure destruction. Local government agencies and emergency services are actively providing aid to victims and working to restore essential services. Amid the prolonged conflict, protecting civilians and preventing additional attacks remains a top priority.
