Zaporizhzhia Under Fire

According to Novyny.live: The number of casualties and injured in Zaporizhzhia has sharply increased following a series of Russian aerial attacks. As of June 5, 16 people have been wounded, among them a 9-year-old girl. One woman who was critically injured later died in the hospital.

On June 4, enemy drones struck public transport vehicles and densely populated residential areas in Zaporizhzhia, causing extensive damage. During the morning shelling on June 5, the following were damaged or destroyed:

  • 11 houses;
  • 4 apartment buildings;
  • 22 private homes;
  • Dozens of civilian vehicles burned to the ground.

The city council has already launched a support program for victims, providing 10,000 hryvnias each for apartment rentals. "The number of affected civilians has risen to 16," said Regina Kharchenko. She added:

'Recovery will take weeks because people need somewhere to live.'

Zaporizhzhia remains under relentless and brutal aerial terror from the Russian Federation. Several aid packages are in place in the city, aimed at supporting those affected in this dire situation.

This situation in Zaporizhzhia underscores the severity of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine caused by military hostilities.
