Salaries have increased, but the shortage of personnel continues: who employers are looking for.
Salaries are rising in the Ukrainian labor market
In October 2024, the average salary in Ukraine increased by 1000 UAH or 5% compared to September. Now the average income of employees is 22,500 UAH.
This information is reported by EP, citing a study by Work.ua.
The number of vacancies in the labor market has decreased, but growth is observed in certain regions. In particular, in Sumy and Chernihiv regions, vacancies increased by 3%, while in Kharkiv region, they increased by 1%. However, in Kharkiv and Kyiv regions, the growth in the number of vacancies was negligible - only by 0.3%.
Employers continue to experience a shortage of personnel, especially in trades, as well as in sales, procurement, telecommunications, and security.
The most popular professions remain unchanged, including: loader, driver, cashier, storekeeper, cook, sales manager, bartender/barista, sales consultant, general laborer, and accountant.
In terms of the number of vacancies, the most popular sectors are 'Retail', 'Wholesale trade, distribution, import, export', 'Hotel and restaurant business', and 'Medicine, healthcare, pharmacies'. The defense sector of Ukraine is also in fourth place.
The lowest competition is observed in the sectors of 'Mining', 'Forestry, woodworking', 'Tourism', 'Show business, arts, culture', and 'Design'.
