Customs database failure resolved: border is back to normal operation.
According to inkorr.com: Crossing points on the Ukrainian border have resumed their work after issues with the customs database. According to the State Border Guard Service, as of 16:20 on November 8, the database of the State Customs Service of Ukraine is functioning again.
Return to normal operation
Customs employees have resumed processing vehicles in normal mode. The reasons for the system failure remain unknown at this time. Earlier that day, processing of citizens and vehicles entering and leaving Ukraine was temporarily suspended.
“The Telegraph's report regarding the departure of 100,000 men aged 18-22 from Ukraine over the past two months is not correct. The Polish border guard noted that this data does not account for the return of individuals to Ukraine, as well as the fact that one person could cross the border multiple times,” reports „Hlukhiv” citing BBC.
Operations of the Polish Border Guard
The spokesperson for the Polish Border Guard, Andrzej Juzwiak, emphasized that from August 26 to October 26, 2025, over 98,500 checks were conducted on Ukrainian male citizens aged 18-22 who were entering Poland at all sections of the border.
After a temporary halt due to a system failure, crossing points on the border are once again accepting citizens and transport in normal mode. The restoration of the customs database is expected to improve conditions for crossing the border and reduce the risk of unforeseen situations.
These events underscore the importance of the stability of customs systems, especially in the context of active transformations at the borders. Smooth and quick border crossing remains a top priority for Ukrainian and Polish services, as it directly impacts the lives of many individuals and businesses in the region.
