Ukraine received Mirage 2000 and F-16: Zelensky announced new aircraft supplies.
The Air Force of Ukraine received combat aircraft Mirage 2000 from France and additional F-16 fighters. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening address to Ukrainians.
According to the President, Ukraine's goal is a complete and effective integration of the Armed Forces' Air Force with NATO forces. 'And today we confirmed the next stages of combat aviation development - new platforms, new steps in the integration of our forces with partner militaries. Our goal is complete and effective integration of the Air Force of Ukraine with NATO forces, which will certainly provide more opportunities for Ukrainian defense and make our state an even stronger part of Europe's defense,' Zelensky said.
Moreover, the President reported on the preparation of new meetings of the Staff, the state of air defense, and new air defense systems that will be introduced in Ukraine.
Also, today the President appointed a new commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko, and announced new stages of air force development. Ukraine has also developed a roadmap for aviation development based on NATO.
