Azerbaijani President Addresses the 4th Shusha Media Forum
According to UATV: Speaking at the fourth Shusha Global Media Forum, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and called for an end to the war. “We have always supported and will continue to support Ukraine’s territorial integrity, its sovereignty, and the inviolability of its borders,” Aliyev stated. The forum, held in Azerbaijan, brought together over 150 journalists from 54 nations to discuss pressing issues, including strategies to counter disinformation and the protection of press freedom. Aliyev further emphasized that “no country’s borders can be altered by force or without the consent of its people.”
Offering Assistance in Conflict Resolution
The Azerbaijani leader also expressed a readiness to help mediate conflicts, asserting that “we are always ready to assist.” These remarks underscore Baku’s commitment to regional stability and peace. Aliyev’s statements at the forum highlight Azerbaijan’s active role in upholding international order and state sovereignty. This backing for Ukraine is widely seen as an effort to strengthen political ties with Kyiv, especially amid the escalating conflict in the region. The participation of delegates from diverse countries at the forum further underscores the importance of global cooperation in combating misinformation and safeguarding democratic principles.
