Zelensky announced a bill to renew the SBI: what will change.
According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced a plan to renew the State Bureau of Investigations, which will be enshrined in legislation.
He reported this in his Telegram.
“I instructed to prepare and promptly submit proposals for the renewal of the State Bureau of Investigations to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” it says in the post.
Zelensky noted that the bill to renew the SBI will be submitted to parliament quickly.
“I expect that the presidential bill will be developed already in January and promptly submitted to parliament,” he added.
The president has not yet specified what exact changes are planned in the process of renewing the SBI.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelensky also reported that the President's Office is actively working on changes in the Defense Forces of Ukraine. In the coming weeks, this issue will be discussed jointly with brigades and military command to determine further decisions.
These initiatives of the president indicate his intention to improve the work of law enforcement agencies and increase the effectiveness of the Defense Forces. It is expected that changes in legislation could significantly impact the activities of the SBI, which, in turn, should positively affect the law enforcement system in the country. We will monitor further developments in these important areas.
