Zelensky announced remote work due to bad weather: who will switch to telecommuting.
According to ТСН: Due to a sharp deterioration in weather conditions in Ukraine, the government plans to implement new measures that will allow employees of non-critical institutions to work remotely.
This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky during his evening address, which took place after a meeting with the Prime Minister.
The president emphasized that due to the bad weather, many regions are experiencing serious problems on the roads and disruptions in energy systems. All rescue services and utilities are operating in enhanced mode.
According to Volodymyr Zelensky, the main goal of the government's new decision is to reduce the burden on infrastructure and ensure the safety of citizens during adverse weather conditions. This will mainly concern office workers whose presence at the workplace is not critically important. He also instructed local authorities to determine the format of education in educational institutions.
“In interaction with local authorities, parameters of school operation under such conditions for this week and the next must be determined,” the president emphasized.
What is known about the bad weather in Ukraine?
Let's recall that in some regions of Ukraine, dangerous meteorological phenomena are observed — heavy snowfall, blizzards, and strong winds.
On Thursday, the severe weather significantly complicated traffic on the country's roads. Transportation was restricted in several regions in the west, particularly in Lviv, Rivne, and Volyn. The bad weather continues to move towards Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, and Chernivtsi regions, as well as Kyiv region.
Experts note that under icy conditions, snowstorms, and snowdrifts, even experienced drivers should be very careful. It is important to maintain maximum attention and caution in every decision on the road.
The situation in Ukraine remains complex due to extreme weather conditions that may last for several more days. The measures taken by the government mitigate the negative impact of the elements on citizens and infrastructure. Remote work and proper education in schools will help minimize the risks to people's safety during this difficult time.
