Zelensky: The main task is to prevent the complete occupation of Donbas.
Zelensky spoke about the main tasks in Donbas and the rotation of military personnel
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the forum "Ukraine 2024. Independence", where he emphasized the main tasks in Donbas and the beginning of the rotation of military personnel.
Zelensky noted that the main task in Donbas is to prevent the complete occupation of the region by Russia. He emphasized that this is Russia's main mission, but Ukraine must not allow it to implement this plan.
The president also noted that stabilizing the situation in eastern Ukraine is an important step that will force Russia to keep its most powerful military formations there. He added that this is a difficult process, but very important.
Zelensky also reported the start of the rotation of military personnel. He noted that prepared personnel have begun preparing, which will help conduct qualitative rotations. Although the rotations are currently only initial, not fundamental, the president considers this a very important step.
In addition, Zelensky mentioned the difficult situation on various front lines, particularly in the Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kharkiv, and Vuhledar directions.
The president also announced the successful test of a Ukrainian ballistic missile.
