Ukrainian President’s Visit to the G7 Summit
According to Espreso.tv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to attend the G7 summit in France, where he will take part in bilateral talks and a working session. French President Emmanuel Macron will welcome him at the event. Together with G7 leaders, Zelensky will join a discussion titled 'Ensuring Peace and Security for Ukraine and Europe.'
During the summit, the Ukrainian president will hold one-on-one meetings with:
- the Prime Minister of Canada;
- the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom;
- the Chancellor of Germany;
- the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
Key topics will include security guarantees and economic support for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
Agreements and International Diplomacy
On June 14, Zelensky also confirmed an upcoming meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. That same day, he spoke with Trump by phone, congratulated him on his birthday, and arranged to meet on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France. Additionally, on June 14, Trump held a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, during which the Russia-Ukraine conflict was discussed.
This summit serves as a critical platform for coordinating international backing for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. Engagements with leaders of major nations could lead to new agreements on security and economic aid for Ukraine—essential for regional stability. At the same time, Trump’s talks with Putin may shape the broader dynamics of international relations and the future trajectory of the situation in Ukraine.
