Zelenskyy and Dutch Prime Minister Discuss Air Defense and Energy Equipment.
Ukrainian President Holds Phone Call with Dutch Prime Minister
According to UATV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with the new Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten, on February 23. The leaders discussed support for Ukraine and its most urgent requirements, focusing specifically on the supply of missiles for air defense systems and critical energy equipment. This discussion comes as Ukraine faces continued aerial assaults on its cities and energy infrastructure.
President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Netherlands, highlighting the importance of cooperation under the current circumstances.
"I appreciate the principled support for our positions and the readiness to help in every way," the Ukrainian President noted.
Future Cooperation
The conversation also included plans to arrange an in-person meeting in the near future, signaling both sides' intent to maintain a constructive dialogue and continue collaborating on vital issues. The Netherlands has been a significant contributor of military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began.
This dialogue underscores the critical role of international support for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict. As a key ally, the Netherlands continues to actively back Ukrainian efforts to ensure national security and energy stability. Sustained cooperation between the two nations is vital for Ukraine's ability to counter wartime challenges and advance its integration into European structures.
