Deadly Ballistic Barrage Hits the Ukrainian Capital
According to 5 канал — Політика: A large-scale ballistic missile attack on Kyiv has resulted in casualties. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citing a weekly tally of assaults, confirmed that as of now, one person has died and 16 others have been wounded in the city and surrounding region.
The assault on Kyiv occurred overnight on July 19, involving over 40 missiles and more than 120 drones. The bombardment also affected people in the Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions, while damage was reported in Sumy and Chernihiv. Nearly 600 emergency responders were deployed to manage the aftermath.
Aftermath of the Attack
According to the President, over the past week, Russian forces have used approximately 1,450 attack drones, more than 1,640 guided aerial bombs, and 99 missiles. The strike on Kyiv sparked numerous fires across multiple districts. In the Solomianskyi district, an office building caught fire and a nine-story residential block was damaged. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a three-story structure blazed, with over ten vehicles also engulfed in flames.

- In the Dniprovskyi district, vehicle fires and a blaze on the grounds of a non-residential building were recorded.
