Ukraine’s Armed Forces Unveil Fresh Initiatives
According to UATV: On July 10, 2023—marking the 1,598th day since Russia’s full-scale invasion began—Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed the latest outcomes of long-range strikes carried out by Ukraine’s military against targets inside Russia. In his address, he emphasized that these actions are part of a broader strategic campaign aimed at safeguarding Ukrainian citizens and ensuring national security.
Zelenskyy also confirmed the establishment of a new special command within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Today I signed a decree creating a special command as part of the Armed Forces,” the president stated.This move is designed to enhance combat effectiveness and improve coordination among Ukrainian military units under emerging strategic initiatives.
Creation of the Joint Rapid Response Forces
Additionally, Zelenskyy announced the formation of the Joint Rapid Response Forces.
“Today I signed a decree to establish the Joint Rapid Response Forces,” he noted.These forces will be equipped to respond swiftly to enemy threats, thereby boosting the Ukrainian military’s readiness to face any challenges in the current security environment.
The president also disclosed a conversation he had with Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Voloshyn, a brigadier general and commander of the 8th Corps of the Air Assault Forces.
“I spoke today with Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Voloshyn and assigned him to carry out this task,” Zelenskyy said.This highlights the importance of direct leadership involvement in decision-making and the management of military operations.
These steps are part of Ukraine’s strategy in response to Russian aggression and underscore the leadership’s determination to defend national interests.
