The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, confirmed his plans for meetings and talks 'at the team level' following a statement from U.S. President Donald Trump about a possible meeting next week.

'The coming weeks may be very busy in diplomacy, and we will do everything necessary to make this Time effective and productive. We always value cooperation with President Trump. We also plan meetings and talks at the team level. Ukrainian and American teams are already working on the details. Peace in Ukraine must be strong and lasting,' Zelensky wrote on social media.

According to Reuters, Trump stated his plans to meet with Zelensky next week in Washington during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida at the White House. The American president intends to discuss the issue of rare earth minerals in Ukraine and wishes to receive 'an equivalent amount of something' in exchange for U.S. support.

Speaking about the war in Ukraine, Trump said, 'I would like to see it come to an end, just from a human standpoint... I would like it to end. It's a senseless war.' He also did not rule out the possibility of a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, noting that he 'has always had a good relationship' with the Russian leader.
