Zelensky confirmed the murder of former Speaker Parubiy in Lviv.
According to inkorr.com: President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that former Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv. The head of state published this information on social media after receiving reports from Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.
'The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko and Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko have just reported on the first circumstances of the terrible murder in Lviv. Andriy Parubiy has died. My condolences to the family and friends. All necessary forces and means are engaged in the investigation and search for the killer,' the president wrote.
Circumstances of the murder
According to information, the National Police initially reported a shooting in the Sykhiv district of Lviv around noon, but later it became known that the crime occurred on Yefremova Street, 42, in the Frankivsk district. The murder took place at 12:10.
According to journalists, Parubiy was shot eight times. The attacker was dressed as a Glovo delivery courier, wearing a black and yellow helmet and riding an electric bicycle. After the shooting, the killer hid the pistol in a bag and fled the scene. At the crime scene, law enforcement officials found seven shell casings.
The death of former Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy, which was reported by the president, has caused a strong resonance in society. The circumstances of this murder require a thorough investigation to identify the guilty and close the case.
