Zelensky announced a meeting with Trump: the main topic will be security guarantees.
According to ТСН: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to hold a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in the near future.
He made this statement while responding to reporters' questions.
The main topic of the negotiations will be the discussion of providing Ukraine with security guarantees for more than 15 years.
“I think I will meet with him soon. I believe I will have a meeting in Washington, or maybe somewhere else. We will see what the president's plans are. And I think I will be able to get an answer to this question there,” Zelensky noted.
Zelensky also announced the next session of negotiations with representatives of the U.S. president. The meeting is expected to discuss the most difficult issues regarding the end of the war.
It was previously reported that the U.S. expects progress in the negotiations on security guarantees for Ukraine in the near future.
According to sources, the parties have come closer to agreeing on a package of several important documents that will determine the format of ceasefire and post-war security guarantees.
These negotiations are particularly significant for Ukraine, as security guarantees can considerably influence the stability in the region and the further recovery after the war. A successful conclusion of the negotiations will be an important step in strengthening international support and ensuring new opportunities for the country's development.
