Zelensky explained the personnel changes in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the appointment of a colonel as Yermak's deputy.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced personnel changes in the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and informed about international negotiations to strengthen air defense.
The President reported that together with Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi, a decision was made to replace the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The new commander is Major General Mykhailo Drapatiy.
According to the head of state, Mykhailo Drapatiy successfully organized the defense in the Kharkiv direction and disrupted the Russian offensive operation. He has also been involved in the war for a long Time, particularly in the most dangerous and responsible directions.
A new deputy commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has also been appointed - Colonel Oleg Apostol, who previously commanded the 95th Air Assault Brigade. According to Zelensky, Oleg Apostol is a Hero of Ukraine and has been fighting for our state since 2014.
The President also reported on the appointment of Colonel Pavlo Palisa as deputy head of the President's Office. Palisa is the commander of the 93rd 'Kholodnyi Yar' Brigade.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the National Guard of Ukraine plans to join the 'Army+' application in December.
The President held talks with German Chancellor Scholz, French President Macron, and Norwegian Prime Minister Støre regarding strengthening Ukraine's air defense. The meeting discussed energy issues, protecting facilities, and their restoration.
There was also a meeting with a delegation from Latin America, where prospects for cooperation and support for Ukraine were discussed.
