Zelensky in Paris: what is being discussed at the Coalition of the Willing summit.

According to ТСН: On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in France to participate in an important meeting of the 'Coalition of the Willing'. The new head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov is also accompanying Zelensky at the summit in Paris.

What Ukraine can expect from the 'Coalition of the Willing' negotiations

Zelensky expressed his expectations regarding the main goals of this trip, emphasizing the importance of strengthening defense capabilities and obtaining real security guarantees.

“I have already arrived in France. There will be important negotiations here today at the leaders' level of the Coalition of the Willing, with the NATO Secretary-General and a meeting with representatives of the American negotiating team. Negotiations that should provide more protection and strength for Ukraine. We count on the support of our partners and steps that can guarantee real security for our people. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.

The diplomatic day began with a bilateral meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron. After the personal meeting, representatives from the USA – Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff – will join the leaders.

At 4:00 PM Kyiv time, the session of the 'Coalition of the Willing' will begin, where more than 30 countries will discuss specific steps to support Ukraine in 2026.

According to media reports, participants will discuss peace proposals in detail, which will become the subject of a personal meeting between Zelensky and Donald Trump.

European officials noted that in the event of a peace agreement, the number of peacekeeping contingents in Ukraine could range from 15,000 to 20,000 personnel. Though no military plans have been announced yet, it is known that the main part of the contingent is to be provided by France and Great Britain, which will be responsible for the ground and air components.

This meeting of the 'Coalition of the Willing' is an important step in Ukraine's international diplomacy, as it can significantly influence the further development of events in the region and strengthen the security of the state. Hopes for real steps from partners have become a key theme in discussions, as the future of the Ukrainian people depends on it.
