Security and Solidarity: Zelenskyy Extends Eid al-Adha Greetings to Muslims.
Zelenskyy’s Message to the Muslim Community
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has offered his congratulations to Muslims celebrating Eid al-Adha, emphasizing the need for safety during the holiday and highlighting international support for Ukraine. In his address, he stressed that the festive period should be marked by peace and harmony.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, holds deep religious significance for Muslims worldwide, symbolizing devotion and faith. During his remarks, the President also drew attention to the plight of Crimean political prisoners still being held in captivity.
“We remember the Crimean political prisoners held by Russia and are doing everything to bring them home, to Ukraine,” — Volodymyr Zelenskyy
It is worth noting that Ukraine remains in a tense situation, as Russian aggression against the country began in 2014 from the occupied Crimean peninsula. This issue continues to concern the international community, which has repeatedly expressed support for Ukraine’s efforts to uphold its territorial integrity.
To close his greeting, the President offered a heartfelt wish:
“Kurban Bayram hayirli ve mubarek olsun.”These words serve as a symbol of hope for peace and unity among all Ukrainian citizens during these challenging times.
Zelenskyy’s statement during the Eid al-Adha celebrations underscores the importance of preserving national identity and religious tolerance in Ukraine, especially amid ongoing aggression. His mention of the Crimean political prisoners also highlights human rights issues that remain a pressing concern on the global stage.
This festive message not only serves as a unifying moment for the Muslim community but also as a reminder of the critical need for peace across all aspects of life in the country.
