He emphasized that a peace treaty is a legal instrument to stop bloodshed, but noted that while Ukraine has shown a willingness to compromise, Russia continues to escalate its demands. Zelenskyy also commented on the status of international aid and the risks posed by the war in the Middle East. Discussing potential concessions in negotiations, Zelenskyy stated:

“I must defend the Constitution, the independence of my country and my people.”

He stressed that he would not seek compromises involving Ukrainian territories, declaring:

“No one is saying we need to become friends. There will be no friendship—he is a murderer.”

“God grant that we receive guarantees stronger than those of NATO.”
