According to Novyny.live: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on January 14 regarding the emergency circumstances in the energy sector, particularly in Kyiv, where a state of emergency has been introduced. During the meeting, key issues related to energy security and support for the population amid cold weather were discussed.

One of the important decisions was the establishment of a new headquarters to coordinate the situation in Kyiv. The head of the efforts to support people and communities in these conditions was appointed as the first Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Energy of Ukraine. Zelensky emphasized the need to intensify work with partners to obtain equipment and support, which is critically important in the current situation.

Curfew Issues and Points of Resilience

Questions regarding the review of curfew rules during cold weather were also raised. The President stressed that it is important for state institutions, businesses, and all levels of local authorities to work harmoniously and coordinated in emergency situations. He expects proposals from the Ministry of Education and Science and local authorities regarding the formats of the educational process during this period.

Volodymyr Zelensky: 'The outcome of each depends on the overall result of the entire country.'

Furthermore, plans are underway to increase the number of Points of Resilience in Kyiv, aimed at ensuring support and safety for the residents of the capital amid the emergency situation. The situation with electricity in Ukraine remains complex, and the measures taken are intended to improve the livelihoods of communities under these conditions.

The introduction of a state of emergency in Kyiv indicates the seriousness of the situation related to energy security in the country. The establishment of a headquarters for coordinating actions and intensifying cooperation with international partners may be important steps towards improving the energy situation. Increasing the number of Points of Resilience also underscores the government's efforts to ensure support for the population amid the rising challenges posed by cold weather and power supply disruptions.
