Zelensky: Putin has taken a second step towards escalating the war.
Zelensky stated that Russia is escalating the war
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the beginning of a new stage of escalation of the war by Russia following the launch of its new ballistic missile in the city of Dnipro. He noted that this is already the second step by Russia to increase the conflict this year, the first being the involvement of a military contingent from North Korea consisting of at least 11,000 soldiers.
'Putin has taken both of these steps, ignoring all calls worldwide not to expand the war. He is indifferent to the opinions of China, Brazil, European countries, America, and all other countries of the world,' emphasized the president.
Zelensky refuted Putin's statements, who considers Ukraine's use of long-range weapons a new step in the conflict. He emphasized that Ukraine has every right to self-defense under international law.
The president called on the global community to respond decisively to Russia's actions, noting that the lack of a harsh response only encourages the aggressor to further escalation.
