Zelensky revealed details of the production of new Ukrainian missiles: what is already in service.
Ukraine has successfully tested a new rocket 'Ruta' of its own production and continues to create other missile systems.
This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during the ceremony of presenting the National Prize of Ukraine named after Borys Paton on December 10, 2024.
According to the head of state, the missile 'Palyanytsia' is moving into mass production, and the drone missile 'Peklo' has successfully passed its first combat tests. The first batch of 'Peklo' has already been handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The President also stated that 'Neptune' will soon become a 'terrible reality for the occupiers.'
Earlier, Zelensky emphasized the importance of air defense systems, particularly the Patriot system, for protecting civilian infrastructure. 'If our sky is fully protected, our adversaries will have no advantages. They will not be able to attack Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, our energy sector, hospitals, schools, and universities,' the president stressed.
According to the head of state, to fully protect the Ukrainian sky, it is necessary to purchase another 10-12 Patriot systems. The cost of one system is 1.5 billion dollars. Zelensky suggested using Russian assets to cover these costs: 'Please take Russian assets worth 30 billion dollars. This will fully close our sky.'
