Zelensky: Patriot systems will ensure Ukraine's security

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asserts that an additional 10-12 Patriot systems will help ensure Ukraine's security and make the war with Putin pointless.

The head of state emphasizes the importance of air defense systems to protect peaceful Ukrainians.

'If our sky is completely protected, then the enemies will have no opportunity to strike at Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, our energy facilities, hospitals, schools, and universities,' emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.

The President notes that the cost of one system is 1.5 billion dollars and suggests using Russian assets to purchase them. 'Please take from Russian assets - 30 billion is needed, but this will guarantee the complete protection of our sky,' he stated.

'The world has enough systems to make this happen. We have submitted all the necessary requests regarding air defense from our partners: for Patriot and other systems that can be effective for saving lives,' the head of state previously emphasized.

According to the president, the issue of protecting Ukrainian skies depends on the political decisions of the American administration, European leaders, and other partners around the world. 'Such decisions can save thousands of lives and deprive Russian terrorism of significance,' highlighted Zelensky.
