Zelensky: 150 Ukrainians released from Russian captivity

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed a decree allowing the return of 150 Ukrainians who were in captivity in Russia. Zelensky announced this in his evening address.

According to the head of state, the decree provides for the continuation of all programs to support citizens and Ukrainian manufacturers. The government has been instructed to ensure funding for direct assistance to the population.

'This is a key priority - increasing production in Ukraine with our support. This will lead to higher budget revenues, more income for citizens, and more jobs for our people, and very importantly - more independence for our country,' Zelensky emphasized.

The president also reported the discovery of violations worth billions of hryvnias in the financial sector, for which criminal proceedings have been initiated. Strict sanctions are being imposed against offenders.

Zelensky expressed interest in the issue of drug prices and criticized pharmacy chains. He warned that if decisions to ensure the accessibility of medicines are not made, personnel decisions will be taken.

The head of state also noted the intensification of contacts with the American administration and the preparation of 'strong diplomacy'. He reported a meeting with the British foreign minister, during which sanctions against the Russian tanker fleet were discussed.
