The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, denies any bilateral negotiations regarding Ukraine without the participation of the Ukrainian side. He stated this during a working trip to the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant, commenting on the conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.
'I articulate this very clearly to our partners. Any bilateral negotiations about Ukraine, I am not talking about other topics, here they are free, any bilateral negotiations about Ukraine without us we will not accept', Zelensky stressed.
According to him, Ukraine needs a 'U.S. + Europe' format involving significant forces for a peacekeeping contingent.
'We have drawn a map, if necessary, we are all ready, and I can talk about it in Munich. Not very openly. But there need to be 100,000 people, well, this is not about 5,000', the head of state noted.
President Zelensky is convinced that Ukraine is a priority for the United States. He emphasized that in the conversation with Trump, there was no mention of Putin and Russia as priorities. 'Today we trust these words, it is very important for us to maintain the support of the United States of America', Zelensky noted.
During the conversation, the issue of Russia's involvement of North Korean troops and the production of drones in Ukraine, which impressed Trump, was also discussed. Zelensky also mentioned sanctions against Poroshenko.
