Zelensky rejected Putin's conditions for peace: what Russia demands and Ukraine's response.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the conditions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for the cessation of the war in Ukraine. Russia demands to cede all territory in Donbas.
During a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Alaska, the Russian dictator said that Russia is ready to stop military actions in exchange for Donbas, including non-occupied settlements.
However, Zelensky rejected the 'offer' and refused to make territorial concessions to the aggressor state.
It should be noted that in addition to the exchange of territories, Putin demands that the Russian language be granted official status in Ukraine and guarantees of 'security' for the Russian Orthodox Church.
However, in a phone call with the President of Ukraine, Trump stated that he did not see any intentions from the Russian dictator to stop the war.
Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with Donald Trump at the White House on Monday, August 18. Representatives from European countries will also participate in the summit.
Brief Summary
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky refused to make territorial concessions in exchange for ending the war in Ukraine, responding to the demands of Russian President Putin. Negotiations and meetings between the leaders of the countries are ongoing to resolve the conflict.
