Zelensky declared that the dialogue between Ukraine and India reached a "new level".
Ukraine is establishing closer relations with India and discussing the possibility of reducing purchases of Russian oil in New Delhi.
This was stated by the authorized representative of the President of Ukraine on sanctions policy, Vladyslav Vlasiuk, during a telemarathon broadcast.
According to Vlasiuk, the dialogue between Ukraine and India "has started to build much better and more intensively than ever before." This allows the Ukrainian side to raise issues that concern it, in particular regarding oil purchases.
Vlasiuk noted that oil exports help Russia earn money to support its military-industrial complex and continue military aggression against Ukraine. This issue was discussed during a conversation between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
According to Vlasiuk's estimates, this amounts to approximately 5-6 billion dollars monthly. He emphasized that if "these 5-6 billion are taken from Russia now by India, the same amount from China, and the same amount from the rest of the market," then Russia will lose the ability to produce missiles and drones in a few months.
The President's authorized representative emphasized the importance of this issue, stating that it is "much more important than anything else" in the context of weakening the Russian military machine.
Earlier, the media reported that India has become a hub for the supply of prohibited technologies to Russia.
