Zelensky introduced sanctions against 165 individuals and companies of the Russian defense industry: details of the decision.
According to ТСН: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of new sanctions against individuals and legal entities of the Russian Federation.
According to the Office of the President, the new restrictions concern 95 individuals and 70 legal entities related to the defense industry of Russia. These sanctions are mainly aimed at citizens and residents of the Russian Federation who work in the fields of communication, electronic warfare, microelectronics, as well as in the chemical, metallurgical, mining, and fuel and energy sectors.
The purpose of the introduced sanctions is to complicate the servicing of the Russian defense industry and limit its capabilities in the production of weapons and military equipment used in the war against Ukraine.
Moreover, Zelensky recently signed a number of new sanction decisions that will help align Ukrainian restrictions with the sanction policies of international partners.
These new sanctions are part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to counteract Russia's aggression. The emphasis on defense sectors highlights the importance of reducing the military capabilities of the aggressor and also demonstrates the support of the international community in the matter of imposing restrictions against those involved in the conflict.
