President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the Patriot and IRIS-T systems, which have saved thousands of Ukrainian lives. The President thanked the chancellor for providing important military assistance and his leadership. During the conversation, the parties discussed further steps to support Ukraine and the need to increase pressure on Russia to achieve real peace. Olaf Scholz spoke about his phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which they concluded that peace is possible through a combination of diplomatic and military strength. Zelensky emphasized Germany's readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in its confrontation with Russian aggression.
Recall that earlier Zelensky stated that Putin is doing everything to thwart the efforts of US President Donald Trump.
