On Saturday, August 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with boxer, absolute world champion Oleksandr Usyk. The parties discussed the full-scale war and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among young people.

'Today, we all strive for Ukraine's voice in the world to be strong and influential, so that as many people as possible everywhere on earth know the story of Ukraine's struggle for life. This is possible when the efforts of politicians and diplomats are joined by the legends of Ukraine, known in every corner of the planet. One of them is our absolute world champion Oleksandr Usyk', Zelensky stated.

He also added that during the meeting with Usyk, they talked about:

• how to strengthen Ukraine's positions, especially in the USA;
• how to prevent the world from forgetting about Russia's crimes;
• how to remind about the daily trials of the Ukrainian people and the courage that Ukrainians demonstrate for over 1256 days of war.

Separately, Zelensky and Usyk discussed the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among young people, as well as supporting and motivating children who actively engage in sports.

It is worth noting that on July 20, at Wembley Stadium in London, in the main bout, the absolute world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk knocked out Briton Daniel Dubois.
