Russians are changing their assault tactics on the Pokrovsk direction: the reason is the weather.
Changes in the tactics of Russian troops due to weather
According to inkorr.com: Russian occupiers are using small assault group methods in the Pokrovsk direction. Officer of the 'Rubizh' brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Volodymyr Cherniak notes that the Russian military will have to reconsider their assault tactics due to deteriorating weather conditions. According to him, the Russians are forming small infantry units that attempt to attack Ukrainian positions after creating a medium-sized assault group.
“The weather is starting to change sharply towards autumn. All tactics that the Russian Federation applied in the Pokrovsk direction were tied to warm weather and active use of greenery,” emphasized Cherniak.
In poor weather conditions, drones will not be able to fly, complicating reconnaissance. Regardless of the type of drones, reduced visibility and signal will create obstacles for them to carry out their tasks.
The impact of weather conditions on combat operations
If weather conditions worsen in the combat zone, Russian troops will need to adapt their tactics. This can significantly affect the course of military operations in this region.
Thus, changes in the weather can fundamentally impact combat actions. In poor conditions, Russian forces may find themselves limited in their mobility and ability to coordinate actions, which, in turn, may create additional opportunities for Ukrainian troops.
