Changes in the 'Oberih' register: how to register men aged 16-25.
Military registration in Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense has implemented an experimental project that allows men aged 16 to 25 to automatically register for military service. This has become possible due to the integration of the 'Oberih' register with the Unified Demographic Register and the State Migration Service system. Thus, data about young men will automatically appear in the 'Reserve+' mobile app, and they will be registered for military service.
At the same time, men aged 16 to 25 who are abroad will be checked through the 'Trembita' system. If invalid military registration documents are found, the employee of the separated unit will notify about the refusal to issue a passport.
The experimental registration of men aged 16-25 will last for one year. After analyzing the results, the digital team of the Ministry of Defense will develop legislative changes.
It is worth noting that Ukrainians aged 16 to 25 who turn 17 will register for military service at the TCC at their place of residence. Those without a registered place of residence will be registered for military service by the General Staff of the TCC.
In addition, men aged 16 to 25 with disabilities or serious illnesses must submit documents for consideration by the MLC.
